CURRENT AND RECENT PROJECTS
Penny produced Helen Chadwick’s new touring production, War
Correspondents, www.helenchadwick.com/warcorrespondents co-
commissioned by Sage Gateshead, Durham Book Festival and
Greenwich + Docklands International Festival. She gained Arts
Council funding and booked a 22 UK venue tour, Birmingham Rep
hosted the World Premiere after which it undertook extensive
touring to include Durham Cathedral, Sage Gateshead, Malvern
and Skittles Alley at the Old Royal Navel College.

She also produced the R&D for David Glass
davidglasstheatre.weebly.com new show DEvine Comedy. Having
achieved ACE funding for the R&D  hosted by Trinity Laban, a
scratch showing of the work in progress was held at Soho Theatre,
London in  January 2016.

Penny is currently Producer for Lucy Stevens,
www.lucystevens.com. Lucy has three shows in repertoire,
Kathleen Ferrier Whattalife!, Shakespeare In Song and her new
production Ethel Smyth: Grasp The Nettle.

Over the last few years she was part time General Manager for
The Brook Street Band www.brookstreetband.co.uk where she
successfully achieved Arts Council funding for Organisational
Development, ran the first Love: Handel Festival in Norwich and
instigated a R&D project working with the choreographer William
Tuckett and writer Alasdair Middleton.

In her role as Creative Producer for Worchester based mask
theatre group Vamos Theatre Company www.vamostheatre.co.uk
she introduced the company to the London International Mime
Festival who have since commissioned two of the company’s new
shows. She instigated a ACE/British Council funded South African
residency and other overseas opportunities.

In 2018, Penny completed an organisational chance consultation
for Oily Cart www.oilycart.org.uk leading to the successful
recruitment of a new artistic and management team for the
company.

She is Board member of the young people’s theatre company, Full
House fullhouse.org.uk advising on funding applications to achieve
substantial public funding for the company.
